All The Tea In China

Well in Japan actually. For all our readers who missed it, new research from Japan has shown that drinking green tea reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. Japanese women who drank five or more cups of green tea a day were 31 percent lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease than women who drank less than one cup a day. For men the comparable risk reduction was 22 percent (this is probably because the men smoked more).Green tea seems to work best against clot related strokes.

Green tea is full of antioxidants, molecules that help keep cells functional and healthy. Although more research needs to be done, these antioxidants may have cancer fighting properties. However, while we wait for the scientific community to catch up, continue to sip green tea and reap the many health benefits.
